レビュー：刈谷博展「ひとつの／そして／無数に偏在する／それ」
確かに筆者である「私」はこの展覧会が開催されたミヅマアートギャラリーの空間に２度足を踏み入れた。しかしその時「私」は一体どこに存在していたのだろう？こんなことを考えてしまうのは、この展示を見ることが、細部は多くの同サイズの小品から構成されながらも優れて全空間的な経験だったか...
「今」とは、無限の時空の海面から、浮かび上がった波頭である
刈谷は作品を「田んぼ」と形容しているが、私の想像するに、作品が並べられた展示風景は、むしろ、無限の時空を内包する、事象の「海」のような外観を呈するのではなかろうか。その海の表面に、個々の事象＝豆粒が浮かび上がるように現前する。
