1996                                   Seed Sutra: 22 Grasps

Data: One Day One Piece One Grasp of Seed Sutra Spring (22 Grasps)   This series is made while Kariya's visiting in Japan for 22 days.   The work is artist's expression of the world by the time work is made. Kariya measures the seed in his single grasp as an amount of his day (or life). And write his "the now is" sutra on the both side of each seads on that amount.
